Project Buyer

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechnical Crane Superintendent to join one of the UK's largest port groups based in Middlesbrough. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the ensuring maintainence and repair of cranes and ancillary plant equipment, with compliance to OEM and legislative requirements and all company policies and Regulations.You will also take lead responsibility for cranes and associated equipment support across responsible sites and health and safety. You will resolve asset breakdowns and identify the cuase of faults and defects to minimise downtime. Good communication with maintainance will be required with progress updates to relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Lifting Equipment Superintendent include but are not limited to:

This role is predominantly an office based role and will suit someone who is seeking to utilise their NDT and operational skills to assist with the management of day to day tasks for the NDT Technical Authority, as well as maintain excellent services to clients across the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, O&G, Bulk storage and distribution and renewables sectors. 
 
The ideal candidate will have experience working within non-destructive testing and currently obtain a PCN level 2 or higher in ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing (eddy current flaw protection desirable). You must have proven experience leading NDT jobs and identifying complex defects, as well as excellent report writing skills. 
 
There is 1 vacancy for this position but the role can be worked from either site based within Teesside, the North west of England or the Humber region.

Jackson Hogg Procurement are recruiting for a leading business in Middlesbrough on the appointment of a Senior Procurement Officer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. We are also open to Procurement Officer level for this role. 

This role will support the Head of Procurement in managing and developing procurement processes, systems, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations. This person will lead and execute sourcing projects to support the delivery of added value to the business.

Hours can be flexible between an 08:00-09:00 start, working a 35 hour week with 3 days hybrid working on offer! Office days are Mondays and Tuesdays.

Senior Procurement Officer

Jackson Hogg Procurement division are partnering with Prosper based near North Shields on the appointment of a Procurement & Contracts Manager to join their small, close-knit procurement consultancy team on a full-time and permanent basis.

This role will be based on site during probationary period, before then offering a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in office and 2 days from home.

The Procurement & Contracts Manager will undertake a range of activities to support and create innovative procurement solutions and to effectively manage the delivery of projects for Prosper, it’s Customers and Supply Chain Partners while having a full awareness of and supporting the achievement of the business objectives of Prosper. This role will require you to lead on defined projects working on your own initiative.

 

The Role:

	<li>Define the requirements of Public Sector Partners to enable the design of full tender documentation packs and deliver procurement activity on behalf of Prosper partners

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%.
