Crane Electrical Technician 

This role will understand credit control and its position within the wider business, focusing on the collection of VAT from clients. This role will be driven by the needs of the business requiring a flexible and adaptable approach to work with different areas of the Finance/operational teams to achieve the desired outcomes. 

 

Key Responsibilities

	<li>Validate system information and processing request for payment 
	<li>Sending email chasers and calling to chase payments from customers 
	<li>Customer VAT status and validation checks

Jackson Hogg is partnering with a fantastic Newcastle based client to appoint a Management Accountant.

The key elements to the role:

	<li>Support the day to day and monthly accounting cycles, including reporting and forecasting of the financial performance for one of our key business units
	<li>Preparation of financial analysis and reports for monthly Trading Reviews
	<li>Develop a clear understanding of our revenue recognition policies and complete sales invoicing reconciliation
	<li>Prepare Finance reports for Operational teams including translating and presenting financial information to non-finance members of staff
	<li>Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, ensuring good housekeeping practices through the development of action plans
	<li>Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities including rolling forecasts
	<li>Play a vital part in the future Finance Team development strategy and great place to work initiatives

Site Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

	<li>Plan, develop and oversee the commissioning and maintenance of all new and existing electrical installations on site, ranging from 11,000v down to 100v systems.
	<li>Perform fault finding, diagnostic and optimisation activities across site electrical and instrumentation system and equipment
	<li>Ensure costs are minimised without compromising the quality of the service provided and to check operational control
	<li>Assist the O&M Group to solve electrical problems, ensuring minimum disruption to the plant.
	<li>Produce maintenance schedules and manuals as necessary and approve these and other key technical documents for use within the department.
	<li>Assist in the production of electrical system designs for process and utilities systems.
	<li>Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations as necessary.
	<li>Provide technical data and documentation require for the preparation of proposals
</ul>

Site Electrical Engineer Key Requirements:

	<li>Experience working on LV/HV distribution systems within an industrial/facilities environment
	<li>Demonstrable xperience of electrical HV switching
	<li>Good knowledge of motors control systems and circuits (DOL, S/D, VSD)

This role will see you supporting the existing maintenance team with site maintenance activities including breakdowns, PPMs and some project work. 
  
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and innovative company who are looking to support and invest in the technicians of the future. The ideal candidates will have served their time in a recognized apprenticeship and have a competent knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical maintenance such as PLC Fault Finding, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
