Multi-Discipline Inspector
Location: North East & North West

Jackson Hogg is supporting a growing engineering services organisation in the appointment of a Multi-Discipline Inspector. This is a regional role offering exposure to a broad client base across high-hazard and regulated industries, focused on asset integrity, safety, and compliance.
You will operate at the forefront of client delivery, inspecting in-service equipment, producing high-quality technical reports, and acting as a trusted technical interface between site teams and internal engineering disciplines.
The Role

Inspection of pressure vessels, pipework, storage tanks and associated process equipment

Acting as the primary inspection contact for designated client sites

Assessing equipment condition and providing clear technical recommendations

Creating and amending Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
-
Producing and issuing inspection Reports
-
Supplementary Inspection Reports
-
Imminent Failure / Danger Notification Forms
-
Movement Reports
-
Supporting clients with remedial work, repairs, maintenance and modification strategies
-
Promoting a joined-up, multi-discipline engineering approach across inspection, materials and mechanical services
Background & Experience
-
Proven experience working within an Inspection role
-
Qualified to recognised inspection standards (API and/or EEMUA essential)
-
Experience within petrochemical, process plant or heavy engineering environments

Strong background across multiple disciplines:

Piping
-
Pressure Vessels
-
Storage Tanks
-
Relief Systems
-
-
Confident working independently across multiple sites

High standard of technical report writing with strong attention to detail

Experience defining inspection intervals in line with approved codes and WSEs
Key Competencies

API-570 (Piping), API-510 (Pressure Vessels), API-653 / EEMUA 159 (Tanks)

API-580 Risk Based Inspection

PCN Level 2 (UT, Eddy Current)

Full UK Driving Licence

Strong client-facing and communication skills
