Jackson Hogg is partnering with a fantastic organisation in Gateshead on the appointment of Payroll Assistant. You will ensure payroll processing remains compliant with legislation and company policies at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
£27,000
- Processing Payroll for Weekly paid employees
- Validation of Tax, NI, SSP,SMP,SPP and SMP calculations
- Checking net pay calculations before payment processing deadlines
- Processing starters, leavers and salary changes including calculation of arrears and leaving entitlements
- Completion of delegated payroll year-end duties
- Resolving payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner
- Provide reporting to internal departments and depots and resolve queries
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a payroll team would be desired
- Highly numerate
- Experience of working in high-pressure environment with tight deadlines
- Strong system skills, including Excel
- A positive, self-motivated and driven character with a clear desire to succeed
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to effectively prioritise workload to meet deadlines
