Senior Finance Systems Specialist (12?Month FTC) £40-£44k

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Systems Specialist to join a forward?looking Finance team on a 12?month fixed?term contract. This is an exciting period of transformation, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting continuous improvement across finance systems, data processes, and technology adoption.

The Role

As a Senior Finance Systems Specialist, you will work closely with Finance leadership to ensure the team maximises value from both existing and emerging technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the administration, control, and optimisation of key Finance IT systems
• Ensuring robust user access, security controls, and system governance
• Playing a central role in system configuration, maintenance, and data integrity
• Supporting Finance system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement projects
• Monitoring project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes
• Leading and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including designing test scripts, guiding users, and tracking defects
• Producing high?quality support documentation to help users resolve common issues
• Driving best practice in data input, cleansing, and interpretation

This is a hands?on, highly collaborative position, suited to someone who thrives on problem?solving, system improvement, and helping others get the best out of technology.

• Experience supporting and implementing a variety of IT systems
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of data handling
• The ability to create clear, user?friendly support documentation
• A proactive, organised approach with strong planning skills
• A positive, can?do attitude and willingness to take ownership
• Confidence collaborating with both Finance and IT stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, particularly when delivering training

Experience within a Finance function is not essential and candidates from all backgrounds are welcome.

Familiarity with SunSystems, Q&A, SharePoint, Power BI and/or Workday is advantageous, but not required.
