This is not a traditional desk-based CAM role, and it is not sales or pre-sales focused. The position sits at the heart of machining performance, owning CNC methods from customer drawing through offline programming, prove-out, and into stable production.

The remit is to deliver robust, repeatable and cost-effective machining processes, with a strong emphasis on cycle time improvement, process stability, and continuous improvement at the machine.

Jackson Hogg is supporting a well-established defence and engineering manufacturer in County Durham with the appointment of an experienced NDT Inspector specialising in Magnetic Particle Inspection.

This is a hands-on technical role within a busy inspection department, working to stringent quality standards across complex manufactured components for demanding end-use applications.

The Role

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will take ownership of MPI inspection activity across a range of components and materials. Day to day responsibilities will include:

	<li>Performing magnetic particle inspections using wet and dry methods to the relevant specifications and standards
	<li>Reviewing, interpreting and sentencing components in line with acceptance criteria
	<li>Generating detailed NDT reports and developing inspection techniques

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Finance Systems Specialist to join a forward?looking Finance team on a 12?month fixed?term contract. This is an exciting period of transformation, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting continuous improvement across finance systems, data processes, and technology adoption. 
 
The Role

As a Senior Finance Systems Specialist, you will work closely with Finance leadership to ensure the team maximises value from both existing and emerging technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

<h3>Role Overview</h3>

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the precise set-up and operation of multi-axis mill/grind machining centres within a precision engineering environment. The role requires strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to manufacturing high-precision components.

You will contribute to the production of precision seals made from specialist elastomers and engineering plastics, ensuring all work meets strict quality and tolerance requirements. The successful candidate will be a team player who can also work independently, manage their own workload effectively, and communicate clearly across departments.

<h3>Working Hours</h3>

Day Shift – 35.25 hours per week

Initial working pattern:

	<li>Monday to Wednesday: 05:55 – 17:40
	<li>11.75 hours per day

We are currently supporting our client in their search for a Data Scientist to support the development and deployment of a digital twin platform for complex industrial process systems based on advanced separation and chemical engineering principles, along with analytical insights into the development of future technologies. 
The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data science, process modelling, and chemical engineering to build predictive, physics-informed, and hybrid models that replicate and optimise real-world separation performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating process data into intelligent, operational decision-support systems. 
Additional responsibilities include analysing experimental and pilot-scale data to support product development and performance characterisation. 
 
Key roles and responsibilities:

We are currently supporting our client in the water filtration industry in their search for a Formulation Scientist specialising in UV-curable, high ceramic loading resins for additive manufacturing applications. This role focuses on developing advanced photopolymer systems optimized for stereolithography (SLA), digital light processing (DLP), and other vat photopolymerization technologies. 
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in ceramic or powder filled photopolymer systems, rheology control at high solid loading, and photo initiator chemistry. You will play a key role in driving innovation in high-performance ceramic materials for technical and industrial applications. 
 
Key Responsibilities

	<li>Resin development and optimisation formulate and optimise UV-curable resin systems with high ceramic loading
	<li>Materials characterisation conduct rheological and photopolymerisation kinetic analysis and support thermal debinding and sintering optimisation with process teams

Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.
