Business Development Executive

About the Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will help build and nurture a strong sales pipeline by engaging with target organisations that value collaboration and innovation. You will be responsible for generating new opportunities, managing early-stage sales processes, and supporting account development.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research new business opportunities and provide market insights

• Make first contact with decision-makers via calls, emails, and social media

• Develop and nurture accounts through follow-up activities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and effective actions

• Provide account management support as required

• Maintain accurate records and updates in the CRM system

• Report on account development and pipeline progress

• Support wider sales and business activities as needed

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in Sales, Business Development, or Telesales, with track record in prospect identification and cold outreach

• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is desirable

• Degree level or equivalent is a plus

• Confident in cold outreach and developing networks of customers and influencers

• Excellent communication skills

• Agile, adaptable, proactive, and customer-focused

• Able to work independently and as part of a team
