About the Role
Our client, a respected and forward-thinking organisation, is excited to welcome an Events Assistant to their marketing team. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to support a variety of event logistics and promotional initiatives, working closely with a dedicated events team. The Events Assistant will play a key role in organizing webinars, assisting with conferences, and coordinating dinners and sporting events to ensure seamless execution. This position also oversees inventory and distribution of marketing merchandise and collaborates with the marketing team to streamline administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Events Support: Assist in the planning and execution of events, including organizing webinars, preparing materials, managing badges, and providing on-site support.
- In-Person Event Assistance: Act as a welcoming representative for event attendees, coordinating logistics and supporting the Events Manager and team.
- Merchandise Oversight: Manage marketing merchandise, including ordering, inventory, and organization.
- Administrative Support: Support financial tracking, including credit card reconciliations and budget coding. Assist with team scheduling, travel bookings, and coordinating activities like 'lunch and learns' and other team events.
What the Ideal Candidate Brings
- Experience: Background in marketing or business administration (preferred but not required).
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-Oriented and Proactive: A self-motivated, detail-oriented approach with enthusiasm for delivering successful outcomes.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
