The Role

Jackson Hogg is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Laser Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Middlesbrough. This role involves operating laser cutting machinery to process metal plate to specification.

This opportunity is open to both experienced laser operators and candidates with a manufacturing background who are keen to learn, with full training available.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating laser cutting machines to cut plate materials

• Loading and unloading materials onto machinery

• Monitoring machine performance and reporting any issues

• Ensuring parts are produced to the correct specifications and quality standards

• Carrying out basic machine checks and housekeeping tasks

• Working safely and in line with all health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Reliable and able to work a 3-shift rotation

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery

• Experience working with metal plate
