Clean energy without limits

The organisation’s headcount plan was ambitious, and required an expanded recruitment capability to deliver it, but with varying recruitment volumes throughout the year, they needed a flexible solution. Geopura considered hiring an in-house recruiter, but the niche roles they were looking to fill, combined with the variability of their recruitment requirements and limited employer brand within the market meant that this solution wasn’t viable. They also considered expanding their use of recruitment agencies, but the unpredictable costs involved in this were difficult to align with their plans.

Geopura’s growth was starting to accelerate in 2022, but that came with its own problems

By placing one of our talent partners on-site, on a scalable basis from two to five days per week, we were able to optimise their recruitment process from start to finish and help them achieve their headcount plan. Our process started with an in-depth audit of their recruitment process, from job specification writing and job board usage analysis to interview technique and offer management. From there we took detailed briefs of the roles on offer and got to work sourcing candidates directly through our talent partner, with assistance from our wider, specialist recruitment team, and created a preferred supplierlist for the specialist roles we didn’t have the expertise to fill ourselves.

To assist Geopura in their ambitious growth journey, Jackson Hogg proposed our flagship Talent Partnership service.

Our talent partner assisted in creating an apprenticeship scheme to foster new talent, and by optimising the recruitment process and controlling all activities centrally, time to offer was reduced by 22%. This all allowed Geopurato achieve their headcount plans, continue their growth journey and focus on their innovative technologies rather than recruitment. Due to the success of their first 12 months, Geoupura extended their contract by a further 12 months.

Jackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a growing charity in Bishop Auckland on the appointment of a Procurement Lead to join their organisation. This is a new role for the company in a time of growth, so will act as a stand alone procurement contact, managing spend across a wide variety of categories. 

This position is full time and permanent  with the role being based on site in Bishop Auckland. Adhoc home working can be accomodated and flexbility will be offered. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 but flexibility to an 08:00 or 08:30 start time can be honoured.

 

The Role:

	We are looking to appoint an experienced Buyer with good commercial awareness and experience in negotiating contracts for consumable, Project and Civil contracts, with values ranging from £100 to contracts of over £10m.

	Manage preferred suppliers list

	Updating and implementing procurement procedures to establish a smoother process for purchase orders that are raised

	Working closely with the finance team to help establish control over budgets and spends both historic and projected via Sage

Procurement Lead

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting with the appointment of a Senior-Principal Mechanical Tank Engineer (DOE), to work for a leading company who specialise in the design and engineering across the international oil and gas industry. You will be responsible for the design of tanks and vessels, supervising/line managing other engineers and the drafting team, and providing technical expertise for projects across the department. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

<ul>
	<li>Provide technical support for Oil, Gas and LNG projects across the department and externally, coordinating efficiently with sub-contractors and vendors.
	<li>Design of tanks and vessels to correct codes and standards (including international standards),
	<li>Production and checking of all design documentation.
	<li>Provide technical input to FEED, feasibility and other studies.
	<li>Lead mechanical engineering design activities 
	<li>Supervise/manage the mechanical team in producing designs, drawings and other deliverable to standard and on-time.
	<li>Manage resources, costs and deadlines to meet project objectives.
	<li>Ensure all codes/standards and procedures are always followed.
	<li>Check and validate calculations, reports, data sheets, specifications and vendor supplied documentation.
	<li>Contribute towards the continuous improvement with the Mechanical Section and deputise when required. 
	<li>Carry out engineering analysis, calculations and procedural work as required.

Requirements:

	<li>BSc, B. Eng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (MSc/M. Eng in Mechanical Engineering advantageous)

Joining at an incredibly exciting time of growth, the Group Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading and shaping the full Group Sourcing and Supply Chain strategy whilst also defining and delivering new internal procedures, policies and processes to increase efficiencies and drive best practice to ensure that business objectives are achieved.

 

Responsibilities

Although this role is based in Stockton, they will join our Beckton support team and work solely on Beckton. The rest of the Beckton finance team work remotely and the candidates line manager is based in Leicester. The candidate must be willing to occasionally travel as the team will meet up in a central location (all travel costs would be reimbursed if not paid for directly). 
This role is part time 3 days per week – we can be flexible with which days these are. Or if an individual would like to spread their three days hours across 4 days we could accommodate this too (would not accommodate condensing into 2 days) – 22.5 hours per week. If there were a particular day they needed to be in the office for billing/training etc we would require some flexibility from their part too. 
The role holder must have a good level of excel skill and great attention to detail.

Part Time Finance Assistant

The purpose of this role is to work with the Management Accountants, FP&A and wider finance department to prepare the monthly Revenue Management Accounts for the Group 
 
Responsibilities include: 
 
Technical delivery

Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in purchase ledger management? We are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Controller to lead and manage our Group’s purchase ledger department. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in purchase ledger operations, while also driving improvements to our procurement processes.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

	<li>Overseeing purchase ledger processes from data input through to payment.
	<li>Ensuring timely and accurate month-end duties, including reconciliations for intercompany trading.

Jackson Hogg Procurement division are pleased to be partnering with a growing manufacturing organisation in Billingham on the appointment of a Project Buyer to join their purchasing team. This role is full time and permanent.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful applicant will work full time on supporting the Engineering department with core procurement activities to ensure they are executed in line with business requirements. 
The successful candidate will have a strong blend of technical and commercial acumen and the ability to manage internal stakeholders within challenging deadlines. 
Experience working within design engineering/manufacturing environment would be preferred.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Buyer will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient and cost-effective purchasing solution for the business.
