Business Development Manager

We are recruiting for a biotechnology company advancing a novel therapeutic platform aimed at addressing previously hard-to-drug targets in serious diseases. The organisation is entering a growth phase and is now building out its business development function to support upcoming partnerships and pipeline expansion.

The Role

• Drive outward-facing business development activity to translate complex science into new partnerships
• Develop high-impact BD presentations and maintain competitive landscape insights
• Identify, engage, and nurture prospective global partners; represent the company at conferences and partnering events
• Analyse deal structures, contract parameters, and partnering models
• Evaluate R&D programs for scientific readiness, value, and partnering potential
• Coordinate partner Q&A processes and work cross-functionally (incl. legal and IP) to close information gaps
• Maintain internal BD tracking tools and coordinate with external advisors to move opportunities forward

Qualifications

• Experience in business development within biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or a related life sciences sector
• Strong understanding of drug development and intellectual property considerations
• Experience with contract analysis and deal structuring
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
• Willingness to travel for meetings and international events
