Position Overview
We're seeking a highly analytical and systemic Process Engineer to support ongoing test bench operation and maintenance activities. This role is critical in ensuring our next-generation ultrasonic and mechanical metering solutions meet stringent US regulatory standards while bridging the gap between physical hydraulic testing and advanced information systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWWA standards, test bench architecture, and the ability to evaluate hydraulic data to facilitate continuous improvement activities.

This role is critical in ensuring our next-generation ultrasonic and mechanical metering solutions meet stringent US regulatory standards while bridging the gap between physical hydraulic testing and advanced information systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWWA standards, test bench architecture, and the ability to evaluate hydraulic data to facilitate continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Bench
- Participate in the design, optimization, and maintenance of our high-precision test benches for both Ultrasonic (AWWA C715) and Mechanical (AWWA C700/C708) water meters
- Contribute expertise to support technical component selection, including high-efficiency pumps, precision reference meters, control valves, VFDs, peripheral sensors, etc. to ensure system integrity, accuracy and longevity
- Support ongoing test bench operation and maintenance activities
- Optimize product flow through the assembly and testing processes
- Contribute to various continuous process improvement projects
- Seek out and suggest improvements in safety and ergonomics
- Determine opportunities for mechanization/automation of processes
- Assist in developing visual production systems for tracking team-member performance
3. Standards, Regulations & Compliance
- Act as the subject matter expert on US market regulations, ensuring all designs and testing protocols comply with the latest NSF / EPA / Safe Drinking Water Act and ANSI/AWWA standards
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control benchmarks to ensure meter accuracy remains within the allowable error range
- Manage the connectivity between physical test benches and enterprise information systems
- Data analysis capabilities to determine process quality and reliability
- Use of statistical tools for process analysis
- Use of digital tools for data analysis and performance monitoring (Excel, BI…)
- Work and data extraction from ERP, BI, MES systems
- Provide solutions for process and quality issues arising in calibration
Core Prerequisites:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or Civil (Hydraulic) Engineering (or a related field)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within water works or hydraulic systems
- Multidisciplinary Proficiency: Demonstrated understanding of systems involving mechanical components, hydraulic flow dynamics, and software/PLC integration
- Ability to learn and understand test bench processes in-depth (hydraulics + process)
- Ability to learn and understand water meter functionality and the parameters influencing meter functionality and KPI of the calibration process
- Proficiency in database analysis tools and statistical software
- Ability to communicate complex technical conclusions to non-engineering stakeholders
- Proven track record of designing "smart" infrastructure that connects physical hardware to digital cloud environments
- Familiarity with the AWWA Manuals and Standards.
